Chawpi Creative Laboratory has commissioned ENSUSITIO to design its renovated space in Quito. Now that it is ready, Gabi and José Luis have encouraged them to tell the story so that visitors to Chawpi—a cultural gallery, fruit shop, and juice bar—know who is behind the transformation of their space. ENSUSITIO has shared many processes with them, and they know that the Ecuadorian firm typically does not showcase its work. Thus, this exhibition was born, where ENSUSITIO will share how it is possible to work together and attempt to generate something, or spark something contagious.

Sound, visual, and architectural interventions, panel discussions, and lectures—among other actions taking place across three spaces at the Persa Víctor Manuel—will seek to address the current demands fueling the country’s ongoing mobilization. This is part of the fourth edition of Estrategias Oblicuas (Oblique Strategies), an event that uses interdisciplinary intersections to contemplate, reflect upon, discuss, and report on the social uprising currently unfolding in Chile.

"Archipiélago. La arquitectura de la Finis Terrae," a publication by Ediciones Universidad Finis Terrae, will be presented on December 6 at 12:00 p.m. at the university's Faculty of Architecture and Design.

1st International Scientific Seminar on Risk, Humanitarian Architecture, and Gender: Risk, resilience, humanitarian architecture, and incremental housing in favelas: The role of universities, architects, social sectors, and the "Marias & Marielles."

As part of the 2019 International Festival of Social Innovation (fiiS), ArchDaily and fiiS will host a public panel discussion in Santiago, Chile, on Saturday, December 7, titled "Cities After the Social Crisis in Chile." The event will feature the following architects:

Fernando Pérez, Smiljan Radic, and writer Pablo Simonetti will present the book "Horacio Borgheresi. 1930-2012," which will be launched by the Universidad Finis Terrae School of Architecture on Thursday, December 19, at 7:00 p.m. at Casa Jordán, a project designed by Borgheresi in 1964.

Those who pre-register for the general presentation will receive a 15% discount on tuition. The event takes place on December 4.

The 5th Latin American Meeting on the Introduction to Architectural Education, hosted in the city of Concepción, Chile, is an invitation to all faculty members of architecture schools across Latin America. This edition will feature professors from as far north as Mexico and as far south as Argentina. The congress aims to strengthen and expand the network between Latin American architecture schools to train the architects of the new millennium, while creating a space for reflection on successful teaching strategies with a renewed focus on achieving meaningful learning.

Under the theme "All the worlds. Just one world. Architecture 21," the 27th World Congress of Architects (July 19–23, 2020) will transform Rio de Janeiro into the epicenter of the debate on the future of cities for master's and doctoral students in architecture and urbanism.

Architects are invited to submit their work for the 27th edition of the World Congress of Architects, UIA2020RIO, which will take place from July 19 to 23, 2020.

Ideasforward aims to provide young creatives worldwide with the opportunity to express their perspectives on the future of society through innovative and visionary proposals. It is an experimental platform that seeks progressive ideas reflecting on emerging themes.

Concéntrico 06, the International Festival of Architecture and Design of Logroño, will take place from April 29 to May 3, 2020. The festival invites reflection on the urban environment and the city through architecture and design proposals in various formats.

To this end, the festival is launching three international competitions for three specific sites. The objective is to create a Pavilion in the Plaza de Escuelas Trevijano and two installations: one at the Paseo del Espolón and another at Viña Lanciano for Bodegas LAN.
