ENSUSITIO: A Repertoire at Multiple Scales

Chawpi Creative Laboratory has commissioned ENSUSITIO to design its renovated space in Quito. Now that it is ready, Gabi and José Luis have encouraged them to tell the story so that visitors to Chawpi—a cultural gallery, fruit shop, and juice bar—know who is behind the transformation of their space. ENSUSITIO has shared many processes with them, and they know that the Ecuadorian firm typically does not showcase its work. Thus, this exhibition was born, where ENSUSITIO will share how it is possible to work together and attempt to generate something, or spark something contagious.

Oblique Strategies 4: Aesthetics of Discomfort

Sound, visual, and architectural interventions, panel discussions, and lectures—among other actions taking place across three spaces at the Persa Víctor Manuel—will seek to address the current demands fueling the country’s ongoing mobilization. This is part of the fourth edition of Estrategias Oblicuas (Oblique Strategies), an event that uses interdisciplinary intersections to contemplate, reflect upon, discuss, and report on the social uprising currently unfolding in Chile.

Fernando Pérez, Smiljan Radic, and writer Pablo Simonetti will present the book "Horacio Borgheresi. 1930-2012," which will be launched by the Universidad Finis Terrae School of Architecture on Thursday, December 19, at 7:00 p.m. at Casa Jordán, a project designed by Borgheresi in 1964.

5th Latin American Meeting: Introduction to Architectural Education

The 5th Latin American Meeting on the Introduction to Architectural Education, hosted in the city of Concepción, Chile, is an invitation to all faculty members of architecture schools across Latin America. This edition will feature professors from as far north as Mexico and as far south as Argentina. The congress aims to strengthen and expand the network between Latin American architecture schools to train the architects of the new millennium, while creating a space for reflection on successful teaching strategies with a renewed focus on achieving meaningful learning.

Concéntrico 06 launches competitions for a pavilion and two interventions in 2020

Concéntrico 06, the International Festival of Architecture and Design of Logroño, will take place from April 29 to May 3, 2020. The festival invites reflection on the urban environment and the city through architecture and design proposals in various formats.

To this end, the festival is launching three international competitions for three specific sites. The objective is to create a Pavilion in the Plaza de Escuelas Trevijano and two installations: one at the Paseo del Espolón and another at Viña Lanciano for Bodegas LAN.
