The Contemporary Architecture Foundation invites you to participate in the 'Culture and City and vice versa' conference, which, with the support of the Córdoba City Council's Department of Culture and Historical Heritage, aims to share and foster debate on various experiences applicable to the strategic planning of the city and the territory.
The city is not merely an urban phenomenon: the synergies generated between institutions and cultural spaces offer us the opportunity to learn in the city, just as the production of messages and meanings allows us, at the same time, to learn from the city.
As urban agents—whether as users, neighbors, inhabitants, consumers, designers, or resistors—the city shapes part of our individual and collective understanding, producing more or less conscious patterns and more or less aesthetic social representations. In other words, culture—which, within broad variables, is entirely urban today—and Culture—which is also framed within the context of the urban, regardless of where it is located or from where it is broadcast—are each a product and producer of the other in a complex dialectical relationship.
