ARCHLAND, a firm specializing in the organization of architecture competitions, is honored to present its most significant competition to date. This initiative will enable the Choquequirao Citadel to achieve World Heritage status and be recognized as Peru's second archaeological wonder, following Machu Picchu, within the tourism circuit. This circuit will be part of the proposal and included through the competition itself, promoted to reach over 5,000 architects worldwide to address and promote this remarkable site.

This territory has established itself as a bastion of Afro-Brazilian heritage, serving as a benchmark in the construction of Brazilian identity. The Uyuni Salt Flat Shelter competition seeks to foster a reconnection with nature and with the human experience within solitude. Acceleration, instantaneity, immediacy, technologization... Daily human life has been subsumed by synchronous devices such as the clock and the mobile phone, resulting in a stressed society that has lost all trace of its biological temporality and its shared life with the environment. Here, on the salt flat, all technology disappears. Total computerization is not possible.

The Rio de Janeiro Department of the Institute of Architects of Brazil (IAB-RJ) has opened registration for the 58th Annual Awards—Road to the Centenary and the 37th Architect of Tomorrow Award. The former aims to recognize the intellectual and professional production of the Department's members, while the Architect of Tomorrow is dedicated to honoring academic work produced in architecture and urbanism programs across the state of Rio de Janeiro. The winning final graduation projects in the eight categories of the Architect of Tomorrow award will also compete for the Grandjean de Montigny Award, sponsored by CAU/RJ.

“Architecture and Urbanism Ideas Competition: New Civic and Citizen Space” is organized by the Municipality of Talca for the site currently occupied by the Talca Prison, which is scheduled to be relocated from the city center to a new facility in 2023.
