The "Landscape Architecture" specialization aims to train specialists committed to landscape planning and intervention from an interdisciplinary perspective, considering environmental, social, and cultural issues. The program has the potential to attract a nationwide audience due to the contemporary discourse on landscape, the need to update concepts—expanding the functional aspect of the landscape—and the broadening of perspectives through methodological practices aimed at long-term urban sustainability, resilience, and responses to urban ecosystem services. The online format facilitates reaching a more diverse audience, targeting independent professionals or those employed by private companies, public agencies, or non-governmental organizations who hold an undergraduate degree.
On Wednesday, November 23, starting at 9:00 AM, Estácio will host a meeting with government officials, business leaders, merchants, and others interested in initiatives to revitalize downtown Rio de Janeiro. Hosted at the MAR (Rio Art Museum) in Praça Mauá, the Transforma Rio event is free and open to the public. Focused on a fundamental societal commitment—ensuring the healthy development of young children—the publication aims to become a reference for architects, urban planners, and professionals across various fields who work in urban territories and promote development and empowerment for women and children.
At the beginning of the 20th century, a bomb exploded at 2 Rua Helvetia, in downtown São Paulo. This occurred during the 1924 Paulista Revolution, also known as "the revolution that São Paulo forgot": a tenentista uprising harshly suppressed by government-loyal troops. After 23 days of bombardment that primarily affected the civilian population, newspapers celebrated the victory of legality and the crushing of the revolution. A century later, under the justification of maintaining that same legality, many other bombs—both real and symbolic—have exploded over that same territory, impacting the most vulnerable above all.
Various initiatives have been promoted by public authorities aimed at the recovery of São Paulo's central area, whether focusing on buildings, seeking ways to encourage private investment in the restoration of underutilized or vacant properties, or focusing on open public spaces, such as the squares remaining from road interventions that are the subject of an international public competition.

On Friday, September 16, the first debate on the war in Ukraine will take place, centered on the book ENSAIOS SOBRE A GUERRA Rússia Ucrânia (Essays on the Russia-Ukraine War), currently in production by the independent Brazilian publisher Kinoruss. The event is open to the public and will be held at the Galpão Comum space in São Paulo. It will feature Svetlana Ruseishvili (UFSCar), who contributed one of the book's essays, alongside organizers Bruno Gomide (FFLCH-USP) and Neide Jallageas (Kinoruss).
