Buildner, in collaboration with the City and County of Denver and AIA Colorado, has announced the winners of the Denver Affordable Housing Challenge, an international ideas competition exploring how affordability and design excellence can reinforce one another within the specific urban, social, and environmental context of Denver.
As the nineteenth edition in Buildner's Affordable Housing Challenge series, the competition invited architects and designers from around the world to respond to Denver's housing crisis through proposals operating at architectural, urban, and systemic scales. The brief did not prescribe a single site or typology but, rather, encouraged flexible strategies capable of addressing affordability, climate resilience, and community impact while contributing positively to Denver's urban identity.
Some of the most well-known buildings in the São Paulo landscape and in major metropolises around the world bear his signature, even if few can precisely define his architectural style. This difficulty, far from being a problem, is part of the enigma and strength of Isay Weinfeld, a creator whose work escapes easy labels and defies rigid classifications. However, reducing him solely to architecture would be a mistake. Over five decades of intense and coherent production, the São Paulo-based architect has built a trajectory that traverses design, visual arts, and cinema with rare fluidity. These multiple fronts of activity will be brought together in Etcétera, the most comprehensive exhibition dedicated to his career, which will occupy the Instituto Tomie Ohtake from March 5 to May 17.

The 11th Docomomo North and Northeast Seminar will take place from November 4 to 7, 2026, in Belém (Pará), under the theme "Modernity in Transition: Climatic [Inter]changes." The in-person event will be open to the public and feature the participation of the academic community. The program includes lectures and roundtables, as well as paper presentations covering teaching, research, and outreach.

The Dallas Architecture Forum, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing public education about architecture, design, public space and the urban environment, continues its 2025-2026 Lecture Series on Thursday, February 19, 2026. The Forum is pleased to present highly-respected architect and educator Hilary Sample of the award-winning firm MOS. This lecture will be held at the Angelika Film Center at Mockingbird Station in Dallas, Texas. Forum members may attend for free. Regenerative placemaking is an approach to shaping places that prioritises long-term social, cultural and environmental health, not just short-term activation, footfall or commercial performance. It looks at how places can continue to give back to the people and communities who use them over time, rather than extracting value and moving on.
