Ideasforward is an experimental platform that seeks progressive ideas reflecting emerging themes. Ecological design, sustainable architecture, new materials, concepts, and technologies are pressing issues for the societies of the future, and the participation of the entire community is essential. In an era of globalization, where communication has been dominated by the technological revolution, there is a need to rethink cities and how humanity relates within a global world, as well as to reconsider the economic, social, and cultural patterns of contemporary societies.

The journal Designia invites the national and international academic community to submit research-based articles in the fields of Architecture, Urbanism, Design (graphic, industrial, and fashion), Heritage, Museology, and Visual Arts for publication in Volume 6, Issue 1.

We are seeking to recognize 60 educational infrastructure projects that facilitate learning and the development of 21st-century skills and feature innovation in their design, construction, management, or use. Educational projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

The Secretariat of Culture of the Municipality of Santiago de Cali, through the Undersecretariat of Heritage, Libraries, and Cultural Infrastructure, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Bogotá, will host the seminar "Cataloging Heritage Buildings." The event aims to strengthen cultural heritage by creating spaces that promote the protection, dissemination, and appreciation of the unique values and characteristics inherent to Cultural Interest Assets, which represent a sense of identity for the city.

Arístides Benavente, president of Komax and Toteat, will deliver the lecture "Fundación Patagonia de Aysén," in which he will discuss his management efforts in developing the institution—which he founded and currently chairs—dedicated to contributing to the sustainable development of Patagonia through community-based tourism in the Cerro Castillo area.

Architectural thought and positions, as well as those of related disciplines, must reach diverse latitudes, just as they move from media platforms to mobile devices. It is essential to hear in person from emerging or established figures who define positions on architectural practice or the role of art in their work.

On Thursday, September 13, at 7:00 PM, Cristián Donoso—one of the most prominent Chilean explorers today—will present the lecture "Exploring Climate Change in Patagonia," organized by the Universidad Finis Terrae School of Architecture.
