Entries to the 6th International LafargeHolcim Awards for sustainable construction will close on February 25, 2020. The competition seeks projects by professionals as well as bold ideas from the Next Generation that combine sustainable construction solutions with architectural excellence. The Awards accept projects and concepts from architecture, engineering, urban planning, materials science, construction technology, and other related fields.

Marcel Duchamp is perhaps the most cited and least understood Western modern artist. His life and work, intrinsically and elusively intertwined, still hide secrets today that baffle, amaze, and sometimes offend when uncovered. Marcel Duchamp can be considered the “inventor” of conceptual art; however, he is best known for the humorous occurrences he called Readymades. In this course, we will review these varied dimensions of his figure with the goal of gaining a more thorough understanding of contemporary art, which is, to a certain extent, his legacy.

August Komendant (1906–1992) was an Estonian-American structural engineer, whose collaboration with famous architects and engineers resulted in several 20th-century architectural masterpieces. Architects, designers and sheet metal contractors are invited to submit their copper building projects for the 2020 North American Copper in Architecture (NACIA) awards program. "Rethink the City; New Approaches to Global and Local Urban Challenges" is a free online course given by Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. After two successful versions with more than 17.000 participants, a new version will start on February 19, 2020.
