The concept is DISRUPTIA, a unique event aimed at showcasing the latest in technology—including artificial intelligence, immersive installations, augmented reality, the metaverse, neuroarchitecture, NFTs, and blockchain—to explore how these advancements will impact the lighting and architecture industries.
The first public event – public conference “UREHERIT: architects for heritage in Ukraine” dedicated especially to the project happened on 13th of October 2023. Despite the war, experts from three countries - Lithuania, Estonia and Romania - visited Ukraine. As many as 120 speakers ( 50 experts offline and 70 experts who participated in the event remotely, in total the event united 300 participants and listeners ) share their knowledge and experience, and will experiment with the aim to build competence on the heritage protection, regeneration of culturally meaningful plans and projects and empowering of local communities as a tool for building the new, democratic, and sustainable Ukraine with a unique yet European cultural DNA.

The inspiration behind the name "游人如織" (Interweaving Travelers) is derived from a Chinese idiom, symbolizing the countless travelers as intricately woven pieces of brocade, layer upon layer. The exhibition's concept expands upon this metaphor with the aim of exploring the interconnectivity and complexity of global mobility. Especially in the post-pandemic era, as people once again regain the "freedom" to move, this exhibition, on the one hand, examines the co-constructive relationship between mobility and contemporary globalization, and, on the other hand, seeks to critically reexamine the fundamental essence of "mobility," exploring its potential to transcend national governance, geopolitical conflicts, and the influence of capitalist expansion.
Japanese art has an allure that transcends time, from the resplendent beauty of paintings on golden screens to the elegant lines of ikebana flower arrangements. In modern times, new technologies are revolutionizing our engagement with these art forms. High-precision replicas of precious paintings can be created, allowing the originals to be safely preserved, while still being accessible to the public. Meanwhile, contemporary artists are using technology to express traditional Japanese artistic concepts in novel ways. At this talk, Frank Feltens, Curator of Japanese Art at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Asian Art, and Japanese new media artist and Professor of Kyoto University Naoko Tosa, creator of Sounds of Ikebana, examine the applications of technology in the world of Japanese art today. The AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry therefore relies heavily on cement, the main component in concrete, to build these elements. Yet for architects, the versatility and resistance of concrete don’t always go hand in hand with sustainability credentials.
This event aims to examine contemporary architectural production in Guadalajara, tracing the work of key figures from Luis Barragán to the present. To this end, the event brings together the most significant established and emerging practices within Guadalajara’s architectural scene. The event will serve as the foundation for an international publication in collaboration with Jesús Vasallo, a specialized writer and professor at Rice University.

The third edition of the Paradyż Designers competition is now open for submissions with a new international scope. The competition will focus on the use of TRI-D sintered stone to create modern, innovative spaces. This year's jury will be led by Jürgen Mayer H., who together with the rest of the jury will revise the entries by designers, architects and art students in several categories concerning space designing using TRI-D sintered stones. The prizes amount to EUR 40,000 and include a trip to Salone del Mobile in Milan, all of which is organized by Polish tile manufacturer Ceramika Paradyż.
