The Sexta no Galpão festival aims to address themes related to culture, art, cities, and contemporary ways of being and living, fostering encounters between experts from various fields to debate among themselves and with the public.

The Pan-American Architecture Biennial of Quito (BAQ2022) will take place at the Casa de la Cultura Ecuatoriana from November 14 to 18. With its agenda now confirmed, the Biennial has brought together prominent professionals from across the continent and the globe to foster dialogue, exchange, and reflection on architecture and the contemporary city, cementing its status as the most important architectural event in the region.

On Wednesday, August 31, at 5:00 PM, Minister of Housing and Urbanism Carlos Montes Cisternas will present the "Housing Emergency Plan" during an outreach and discussion event at the National Headquarters (Avenida Libertador Bernardo O’Higgins 115, Santiago).

At the beginning of the 20th century, a bomb exploded at 2 Rua Helvetia, in downtown São Paulo. This occurred during the 1924 Paulista Revolution, also known as "the revolution that São Paulo forgot": a tenentista uprising harshly suppressed by government-loyal troops. After 23 days of bombardment that primarily affected the civilian population, newspapers celebrated the victory of legality and the crushing of the revolution. A century later, under the justification of maintaining that same legality, many other bombs—both real and symbolic—have exploded over that same territory, impacting the most vulnerable above all.

The "Landscape Architecture" specialization aims to train specialists committed to landscape planning and intervention from an interdisciplinary perspective, considering environmental, social, and cultural issues. The program has the potential to attract a nationwide audience due to the contemporary discourse on landscape, the need to update concepts—expanding the functional aspect of the landscape—and the broadening of perspectives through methodological practices aimed at long-term urban sustainability, resilience, and responses to urban ecosystem services. The online format facilitates reaching a more diverse audience, targeting independent professionals or those employed by private companies, public agencies, or non-governmental organizations who hold an undergraduate degree.

On Wednesday, November 23, starting at 9:00 AM, Estácio will host a meeting with government officials, business leaders, merchants, and others interested in initiatives to revitalize downtown Rio de Janeiro. Hosted at the MAR (Rio Art Museum) in Praça Mauá, the Transforma Rio event is free and open to the public. From September 21 to 25, the MEXTRÓPOLI Architecture and City Festival will offer a program of public space activations, city tours, and film series to celebrate the ninth edition of this event, held in collaboration with the XII Ibero-American Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism. As in previous years, exhibitions are a central part of the festival's agenda; this year, five architecture showcases will be presented at some of Mexico City's most iconic museums.
