The 2025 ARQUITECTURA Awards are underway. The competition enters its fourth edition with new features designed to enhance the recognition of planning projects and other urban schemes. The goal is to broaden participation opportunities, continuing to showcase and share with society at large the values of architecture, urban planning, and other professional practices that contribute to human well-being and planetary sustainability. Organized by the Spanish Council of Architects (CSCAE) and officially sponsored by COMPAC®, the ARQUITECTURA Awards include six distinctions based on universal, social, and cultural values, along with three special recognitions.
The six value-based distinctions are:
• Commitment Award, which distinguishes outreach, architectural dissemination, innovation, entrepreneurship, and other professional practices.
• Sustainability and Health Award, which recognizes works that excel in universal values related to minimizing environmental impact and improving quality of life.
• New Bauhaus Award, which combines sustainability and inclusion with cultural and artistic values.
• Habitat Award, for the application of fundamental architectural and urban planning values such as habitability and spatial quality.
• Rehabilitation Award, which distinguishes values associated with rehabilitation, renovation, and urban regeneration.
• Profession Award, which recognizes the expression of professional and ethical values.
