It is the tallest tower in Ibiza, though its primary appeal lies in the unique view from the top, which encompasses the islets of Es Vedrà and Es Vedranell, and even the Montgó massif in Denia on clear days.

The Fast Wood Festival is an association of architecture, engineering, and design professionals and students that hosts workshops throughout the year, culminating in an itinerant festival. Held during the summer months, it brings together around 80 wood enthusiasts with the primary goal of constructing a project using this material, while also enjoying the experience and expanding their knowledge.

Qianhai is located in the western part of Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, on the eastern bank of the Pearl River Estuary. This project will be the first international-level conference center in Qianhai, positioned as a venue for head-of-state level multilateral summits. It will serve government agencies, public institutions, enterprises, and associations within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, functioning primarily as a conference venue while incorporating auxiliary functions such as dining, banquets, hotel accommodations, boutique exhibitions, product launches, and festival events.

For its fourth exhibition cycle, Espacio Odeón has invited Alejandro Martín Maldonado and Estudio Altiplano to serve as curators. They have chosen to launch an architecture competition that examines the spatial conditions of Odeón, along with its history, present, and future.

This competition invites any individual or collective—regardless of age, discipline, nationality, gender, or political affiliation—to submit architectural proposals. On January 27, the fifth anniversary of the Kiss nightclub tragedy, the National Public Architecture Competition for the Kiss Victims Memorial was launched in Santa Maria. The competition is a partnership between the city government, the Institute of Architects of Brazil (IAB RS), and the Association of Families of Victims and Survivors (AVTSM).

Architects from across Brazil may submit their projects via the competition website until March 19. Proposals must adhere to an estimated construction budget of R$ 3 million. The winning project is scheduled to be announced on April 10.

Chucuito, a Peruvian town at 3,800 meters above sea level, welcomed students and architects from across Latin America in late March to reflect, debate, design, and build public facilities during an intense ten-day workshop. This was the spirit of the XV Latin American Social Workshop Puno (XV TSL Puno), directed by the Latin American Coordinator of Architecture Students (CLEA) and the Peruvian Organization of Architecture Students (OPEA).

Submission Stage 1 consists of an Abstract of 600-800 words with 10-15 embedded images that declare and clearly demonstrate the specific research innovation as built, and in the development of being built. High quality images of design and fabrication processes should predominate the selection, with 3-4 images of the work as complete.
The 2027 Edition focuses on rethinking extractive models of architectural production, learning from local contexts, and empowering more diverse communities of designers, makers, and builders. FABRICATE is looking for work that engages meaningfully with material, social, and environmental questions across diverse scales and geographies.
Since its inception FABRICATE has played an important role in promoting innovative work at the intersection of design and making—bringing forward projects that challenge how architecture is conceived, materialized, and constructed. It has been a platform not only for technological advancement, but also for new ways of thinking about practice, materiality, and impact. While FABRICATE has often been associated with advanced manufacturing and robotics, this year FABRICATE is also interested in broad critical shifts in the field.
The event is co-chaired by Areti Markopoulou (Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia) and Xavier De Kestelier (Hassell) aiming to strengthen ties between industry and research.

The UIA-HYP CUP 2026 International Student Competition in Architectural Design is now open for registration.
Now entering its 15th consecutive edition, the UIA-HYP CUP is the only UIA-endorsed international student architecture competition held annually in mainland China. Organized by the School of Architecture, Tianjin University; the School of Architecture, Inner Mongolia University of Technology; and Urban Environment Design (UED) Magazine, the competition provides a global platform for architecture students to engage with contemporary architectural, urban, and environmental challenges.
The competition operates under the overarching theme of Architecture in Transformation, while the specific topic is proposed each year by the Jury Chairman.
