A room faces the metropolis. The volume is vast, completely empty, like a blank sheet of paper. Welcome to Andar 43, the penultimate floor of São Paulo's tallest building, the Mirante do Vale. What can sprout from here, at such heights?
Open to architects, set designers, illustrators, and dreamers, this manifesto is for those who enjoy building sandcastles in oceans of concrete. We invite you to envision a hybrid, modular space—a place for work, social interaction, and poetic refuge.

Ideas competition for the 'Reserva' master plan, Mar Azul site in Villa Gesell

The intervention will take place on properties owned by the CAAITBA (Social Security Fund for Surveyors, Architects, Engineers, and Technicians of the Province of Buenos Aires), located in the town of Mar Azul, in the Municipality of Villa Gesell, commonly known as the "Engineers' Campground."

Ideathon: Back to the Street

Amid the health and socioeconomic crisis caused by the coronavirus, we have seen how prolonged physical isolation can affect citizen behavior and generate uncertainty about returning to the streets—that is, to the city itself. The emergence of this pandemic has cast public space as the antagonist in a real-life drama, exposing us to potential contagion. However, public space is also a central part of the solution. As we navigate the daily recovery and reopening phases of our cities, we face the challenging task of ensuring that daily activities are conducted under safe protocols.

Call for Ideas: Emergency Health Prototypes

This is a single-stage, open ideas competition. It is jointly organized by the Taller de Desarrollo Urbano (TaDU - Venezuela), the Peruvian Organization of Architecture Students (OPEA - Peru), and Más Ciudad Arq. (Peru). The competition is open to students and recent graduates (thesis students) of architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, design, or any related field. Teams of up to 5 people may be formed, with the option to include a maximum of one recent graduate or bachelor (thesis student) who has completed their university coursework within the last two years.

The Latin American Architecture Biennial opens its call for entries for the upcoming BAL 2025 edition

AREA (Asociación para la Reflexión Estratégica acerca de la Arquitectura) invites submissions for the ninth Bienal de Arquitectura Latinoamericana (BAL) 2025, which aims to highlight the work of emerging Latin American architects. As in previous editions, BAL seeks to showcase the work of emerging professionals in Spain, thereby fostering their professional reach both here and in their home countries. BAL 2025 will take place in Pamplona over the course of one week. The program will feature a variety of events linked to different geographic regions, including exhibitions, lectures, and roundtables that offer a global overview of the current state of Latin American architecture.

Fifth Edition of the Oscar Niemeyer Award for Latin American Architecture - ON Award 05 / 2024
