Light Design Integration at Jaleo Restaurants | Lzf

LZF is a Valencian company that combines traditional knowledge, hand-made by expert craftsmen, with technology and research. They produce ambient lighting with natural fibers, artisanal techniques, and identity.

Jaleo is a series of restaurants created by chef José Andrés, inspired by Spanish culture and gastronomy. With locations in cities such as Chicago, Dubai, and Disney Springs, these spaces stand out for their vibrant design and homage to the art and tradition of Spain. Architect Juli Capella of Capella Garcia Arquitectura, developed the interiors of each Jaleo, fusing creativity, functionality, and an identity that reflects the spirit of Spain.

In each Jaleo restaurant, LZF lighting plays a key role in the ambiance, enhancing the warmth and dynamism of the space. At Jaleo Chicago, four Dandelion fixtures were incorporated into the bar area, adding an element of movement and energy, while four Swirl lamps elegantly illuminate the dining area.

At Jaleo Dubai, located in the luxurious Atlantis The Royal hotel, seven Swirl fixtures were used, an Agatha Large framing one of the main windows and a towering Totem in the bar area. These pieces combine sculptural design and lighting, complementing the restaurant's visual identity.

At Jaleo Disney Springs, the lighting was adapted to a more playful and innovative style, with the use of Stitches Bamako and New Wave luminaires, which bring a distinctive and modern character to the space.

The LZF luminaires, made of wood veneer, provide a warm and enveloping light that enhances the chromatic and material richness of the restaurants. The combination of different models makes it possible to highlight specific zones, from meeting areas to focal points such as the bar and main tables.

The use of large-format decorative lighting, such as Agatha Large and Totem, adds a sculptural dimension to the space, making them protagonist elements within the interior design. The integration of pendant luminaires, such as Swirl, Dandelion, and New Wave, contributes to creating a cozy and dynamic atmosphere, inviting diners to enjoy a complete sensory experience.
