Longboard manufactures premium interior & exterior aluminum building products in a wide range of woodgrain, solid color, specialty & custom finishes. The HITCH™ Cladding Attachment System is a holistic, thermally broken structural solution offering intermittent structural attachment options for rain screen cladding across various exterior wall assemblies.
Engineered for high-performance strength, Hitch achieves optimal thermal performance while
supporting cladding weights. By allowing up to 50% fewer clips, this system reduces penetrations, cuts, material and labor costs, and accelerates installation schedules. Longboard SD and HD Clips can easily accommodate between 1” and 16” of continuous exterior insulation to meet aggressive energy targets and code requirements.
Product specifications:
- Premium construction, durably designed for a service life of 50+ years.
- High-tensile aluminum, stainless steel, & galvalume steel for improved structural performance.
- Modular, adaptable system, telescopically adjustable up to 1".
- Supports vertical & horizontal girt designs, and one- or two-layer girt assemblies.
- High structural capacity for heavy cladding loads up to 15 psf under high wind & seismic conditions.
- Accommodates continuous exterior insulation (1"–16" thick) for > R-60 walls.
- Thermally broken attachment system with >90% thermal efficiency.
- Cost-effective, quick to install, and compatible with masonry, concrete, wood, and steel stud structures.
