More about this product

Vanceva gives architects, designers, and artists creative freedom by producing a broad spectrum of colors for laminated glass. The Color PVB Interlayers from Vanceva can be mixed to create over 170000 transparent, translucent, or opaque colors for the desired tone and intensity. Vanceva Color PVB Interlayers were used in A Long Time is Not Forever, an art installation of contemporary Danish artist Malene Nors Tardrup in the Bispebjerg Hospital Car Park in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Malene Nors Tardrup uses photography to create a commentary on social, political, and cultural topics. For this art installation, Tardrup researched historical photographs from the Royal Library’s Picture Collection and Bispebjerg Hospital’s image archive to weave a visual history of the car hospital’s past and present. The seven photographic collages from Malene Nors Tardrup were printed on 3490 x 1313 mm Weißglas with Vanceva-colored panels.

The lightest mosaic squares in each window were Vanceva colors and provided a colorful view of the outside surroundings while giving a vivid aesthetic to the interior architecture. From the outside, visitors experienced bold colors illuminating the night sky as they approached the building.

The colors used for this project were Sahara Sun, Sapphire, Tangerine, Sapphire, Ruby Red, and Aquamarin.

This project was a 2022 World of Color Awards™ winner.
