Vanceva gives architects and designers creative freedom by producing a broad spectrum of colors for laminated glass. The Color PVB Interlayers from Vanceva can be mixed to create over 170000 transparent, translucent, or opaque colors for the desired tone and intensity. Interlayers from Vanceva were used to partition the showrooms of AGC Studio in Tokyo, Japan. Designers of the studio selected a deep, glowy orange hue for one wall to evoke the sunset, while on the opposite wall, an intense blue take was employed.
The use of Color PVB Interlayers in this design allowed the designers to play with people’s perceived sense of distance. The blue and orange hues combine into a complementary grey shade upon viewing the showroom from the outside. Figures inside the room are then silhouetted in color on a monochromatic background.
The designers were able to integrate the colors of nature into an inorganic design by emulating the colors of the sky. The use of laminated glass with noise-canceling characteristics and Vancevar color interlayers allowed the designers to create a space free from disturbances while still having a sense of openness within the workspace.
