CharacteristicsPossibility of upright design, prevents glare and lets in a soft light when facing north, deisgned for installation directly in sloped roofs without adding a sub-construction
Schöllkopf Backwaren located in Waiblingen, Germany, is a bakery that in 2016 expanded its bakery facilities, and optimized its production processes and the working environment by bringing daylight into the workspace and allowing efficient ventilation.
The designers from 3d architecten, chose VELUX Modular Skylights as the solution, using Northlight modules that let in soft northern lights and prevent direct lighting and glare. Also, half of the modules, allow ventilation, providing fresh and cool air into the bakery.
About Northlight 25-90°
This VELUX Modular Skylight, is composed of row modules, that can provide large amounts of glare-free daylight.
Northlight 25-90° is ideal for spaces that require soft light and does not require a sub-construction for installation. This solution allows fast and easy closure of the roof, reducing costs, and can be applied in sloped, shed or saw tooth roofs.
