Sky-Frame Inline is a filigree fixed-glazing post that connects frameless fixed glass panels with the sliding windows of the Sky-Frame system. It lets large glazed areas be composed as a flush, continuous glass surface in which fixed and sliding sections meet with a minimal visible joint.
Construction
The post has a visible width of only 30 mm (1 3/16") and is available in three installation depths of 66, 90 and 110 mm (2 5/8", 3 9/16" and 4 5/16"). The three depths allow the post to be matched to the span and the structural load, and for higher demands it can be reinforced with up to four steel profile inserts, which increase its load capacity without widening the visible face. The post carries the adjoining fixed glazing while the sliding panels run in the standard frames, so the transition between fixed and moving glass stays flush and the 30 mm sight line is kept across the whole front. Within the modular Sky-Frame system, Inline is one of the features added to a base configuration of system, glazing technology and track option.
Glazing technologies
Inline is used with the base glazing technology of the system, Sky-Frame 2 (30 mm double glazing) or Sky-Frame 3 (54 mm triple glazing). Thermal and acoustic values follow the selected technology.

System compatibility
Inline is standard with the Classic system and available with Arc and Slope on request. The static verification is carried out per project.
Applications
Typical applications are large glazed fronts in residential architecture as well as hospitality and commercial buildings, where fixed panes and opening panels are combined into one continuous glass surface facing terraces, gardens and balconies. The narrow post lets fixed and opening sections alternate along a long facade without interrupting the glass line.
Colours and manufacture
Seven anodised finishes are supplied as standard: the colourless E6/EV1 and six chemically mattened Colinal tones. Further anodised colours are available on request, as is powder coating in the RAL, IGP and DB colour systems, applied in-house to the Qualicoat standard. All components are developed and manufactured in Switzerland; more than 15,000 projects have been realised since 2002.
