2017 SEGD Global Design Awards Now Open for Entries
The 2017 SEGD Global Design Awards, the only international awards program focused on user experiences in the built environment, is now open for entries. Since 1987, the SEGD Global Design Awards have set the standard of excellence for environmental graphic design and experiential graphic design, honoring design work that connects people to place by providing direction, content and compelling experiences in public spaces.

Europe’s migration crisis has intensified the need for cities to develop new tools and strategies to help people build skills, earn a living, and establish their place in society. To address this challenge, New York-based design nonprofit Van Alen Institute has launched Opportunity Space, a competition inviting multidisciplinary teams to propose a temporary mobile structure in Malmö, Sweden that will support a wide range of social programs.
The winning team will receive a $10,000 prize, a $5,000 travel budget, and up to $25,000 to implement their proposal in and around Malmö’s Enskifteshagen Park for two months in spring 2017.
In order to restore the innovative local culture and the equipment that help the coexistence of local residents, artists, and visitors as the typical cultural space of Seoul, ‘Front of Hongik University’, is going to transform into a standardized commercial space, the contest of inventing a cultural platform will be performed from 5th October to 8th November.
