Kemang Medical Care / Aboday Architects When this project started in 2007, the original land size of 2600 sqm is barely enough to build a women and children clinic with 52 wards. The building programme is complex, which include one floor dedicated for in vitro treatment. The 5 storey building sits on an elongated site, located in a junction of Jalan Ampera Raya in South Jakarta, and 6 m width neighbourhood alley. IT University of Copenhagen video by Henning Larsen Architects

Henning Larsen Architects recently released a short film on the IT University in Ørestad City, Copenhagen. The film focuses on the main ideas of the architectural design and describes the synergy created when the students and external users are brought together in the central street of the building. At the same time, the film addresses the university users: Today, six years after completion, how is the building experienced by students, professors and administrative staff? The film casts Vice-Chancellor Mads Tofte, architect Søren Øllgaard and students Isaac Dart, Frederik Meisner and Line Thorup.

Material Parametrics is a two-day intensive design and prototyping workshop (with an optional third day) to be held in New York City during the weekend of September 25. Over the course of two(+) days participants will examine the cultural as well as technological domains of associative practices within architecture and its related fields. Participants will iteratively develop parametric assemblies with an emphasis placed on material prototyping as a vehicle for design innovation.

Fundação Iberê Camargo in Porto Alegre, Brazil / Alvaro Siza The new building for the Ibere Camargo Foundation in Porto Alegre, Brazil designed by Portugal´s Alvaro Siza, is a big rectangular white concrete structure.
