Porto Academy is the result of a deep passion for architecture as an academic discipline. Founded in 2013, Porto Academy aims to serve as a manifesto of pluralism and opportunity, grounded in close mentorship from a diverse group of architects, artists, and curators. It offers an alternative educational experience, free from pre-existing rules and dogmas, where students learn firsthand from the unique perspectives of practices led by invited architects, artists, and curators.

Hyper-connectivity and the speed of events allow us to stay informed and participate, in real time, in the occurrences of our time—such as violence, the environmental crisis, social crises, and migration—forcing us to confront these threats as individuals and as a community.
On Friday, September 16, the first debate on the war in Ukraine will take place, centered on the book ENSAIOS SOBRE A GUERRA Rússia Ucrânia (Essays on the Russia-Ukraine War), currently in production by the independent Brazilian publisher Kinoruss. The event is open to the public and will be held at the Galpão Comum space in São Paulo. It will feature Svetlana Ruseishvili (UFSCar), who contributed one of the book's essays, alongside organizers Bruno Gomide (FFLCH-USP) and Neide Jallageas (Kinoruss).
