Vila Flores is an architectural complex of historical and cultural value located in the 4th District of Porto Alegre. Its buildings, designed in 1928 by engineer-architect Joseph Lutzenberger, are listed in the Inventory of Cultural Heritage of Real Estate of the Floresta Neighborhood as "Structuring" properties and are situated within an area of cultural interest in the city.

We understand the notion of the "common" as a collective construction and a political principle that proposes a certain communality of life built in daily practice, operating within the fissures between the State and the market. The varied perspectives and possibilities opened up by the common are explored through the articulations suggested by the thematic axes, using either descriptive or conceptual approaches. The event, as well as its organization, stems from collective work critically committed to building an equitable, inclusive, collaborative, and democratic society.

The disruptive impact of Industry 4.0 is spreading across all fields of knowledge, changing and transforming how we interact with objects and people. Although the effects of this revolution are not yet as noticeable in the field of Cultural Heritage, it is safe to assume that current and future experiments and applications will lead the fields of preservation, conservation, management, and appreciation of Cultural Heritage toward new and unexpected horizons.
