Some Portuguese houses, for sure - with André Scarpa

Lived narratives! André Scarpa shares his experience with Portuguese architecture and how it has shaped his professional path.

From the decision to study abroad on Portuguese soil, which led him to stay and work there, his relationship with Portugal did not end upon his return. In the following years, he collaborated with colleagues on a documentary about the work of architect Álvaro Siza. Now that it is complete, we will have the pleasure of watching the teaser and hearing firsthand about the process and its development.

The closeness and intensity with which a newly graduated architect experiences such moments—as seen in the photo—are things that even a photograph, despite its color and form, cannot fully capture. It is a clear subversion of the argument that a picture is worth a thousand words.
