“Provoking the Territory: Bernard Khoury” is the third volume in the Dongola Architecture Series, and it takes a bold look at the work of one of Lebanon’s most provocative architects. This book launch will be accompanied by a panel discussion that dives into Khoury’s trajectory—from early experiments to his reinvention in his fifties—unpacking how his architecture embodies the contradictions of Beirut and the broader region.

Mirror in the Mirror, the most recent collaborative book between architect Kengo Kuma and photographer Erieta Attali, was born from the authors’ shared desire to transcend the limits of architecture and imagery and enhance the sensorial experience of the featured spaces. Attali’s photographs capture the interconnectedness of the built space with nature central to Kuma’s design practice where architecture reaches out into its surrounding environment, bringing nature back into its interiors. Meticulously crafted by designers Koma Amok for Hartmann Books, Mirror in the Mirror is a narrative depicting atmospheric moments and thresholds of transition, in an unfolding interplay of light and texture.
100 Copenhagen Typologies: Re-use, Adaptation and Mixed-use Architecture’ by Martin Marker
If you happen to be in Copenhagen this week, we will be happy to receive you in our cozy office (Frederiksgade 1, 4. th) for the book launch of ‘100 Copenhagen Typologies: Re-use, Adaptation and Mixed-use Architecture.’ The author, Martin Marker, as well as the Danish Architectural Press’ Editor-in-Chief, Kristoffer Lindhart Weiss, will present the book and share some drinks in an informal discussion.

Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design as she discusses her new book Innate Terrain: Canadian Landscape Architecture, a collection of papers written by Canadian scholars and practitioners in the field of landscape architecture. Concerned with the practice and theories of landscape architecture in Canada, the book documents the breadth of contemporary practice from across the country, with each chapter author using works of landscape architecture to theorize a distinct approach practiced by Canadians in their national context. The book’s central argument is that Canadian landscape architecture is distinct because of the unique qualities of the Canadian terrain and the particular relationship that Canadians have with the landscapes of our nation.
