MICROSCAPES is an international architecture, art, and design competition organized by the Inter-American Development Bank and the Municipality of Rio Negro, Uruguay, in Fray Bentos, an ex-industrial site declared UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2015. The objective of the competition is to activate an open space within the industrial complex to enhance its historical, cultural and touristic value.
