As a first approach, two questions arise, what is the relationship with the landscape and how to live in a spacious house.

Section

We seek a building where the human presence is revealed by the geometric abstraction that, contrasted with the surrounding landscape, underscores what is strongly natural. This relationship of opposites extends throughout the project.

The house is divided into volumes that are connected through spaces exposed to the landscape. Thus, access to any of the modules involves getting in and out of the house and the landscape. Exposure to the landscape and taking refuge in the house. Being part of the landscape and observe it framed in the window.

Section

This idea is constructed with five prisms, each of which is rotated on its long axis to meet the regulatory roof slope. Thus, the roof and the volume form a single abstract element. The prisms are linked by glazed connectors (stairs, steps and bridges); built voids. The contrast between connectors and closed volumes generates a rhythm in its path.

We seek to generate through the division of the house into volumes, a sense of shelter. Smaller spaces are more easily appropriated. The spacing between each of the spaces allows them to be inhabited independently.

Thus, a spacious house located in a natural landscape seeks to highlight its environment and invites habitation at the same time.
