Text description provided by the architects. The house is in a gated community, 8 minutes away from the city of Rosario traveling on the highway that connects it to the city of Córdoba.

The lot is 30.69 meters wide by 29.66 meters deep. The front faces north, with the best sunlight, and the back, facing south, gets the strongest winds and storms.

When the project was designed, weather conditions needed to be addressed carefully, as the neighborhood was in a vast, virtually clear flatland, with almost no trees to provide shade and protect from the wind.

The above conditions of the site quickly determined that the building should be placed at the back of the lot to get the best sunlight from the north. The south façade is an opaque wall protecting from strong winds and storms, and grants more privacy with respect to neighboring lots. In addition, we decided to raise the house about 45 cm from the ground, a measure against possible flooding of the site.

The program is for a small summer house, which in turn has a large space that functions as dining room, living room, barbecue and eventually bedroom. The grill area should work both for the preparation of meals and also as a social gathering space.

The architectural "idea" can be summarized in the introduction of a rigid cube on the ground, which through design actions, addresses the constraints of the site and generates intermediate spaces (neither open nor closed), where the inhabitant feels "sheltered" inside a "cube" and in turn, visually and spatially connected with the outside.

The form and introduction of the pool gives "movement" to the orthogonal composition of the "cube" and incorporates the "water" element into both the exterior landscape as well as the interior space of the house. This pool "embraces" the house generating different moments that accompany the path of the sun during the day.
