Text description provided by the architects. The aim of this project was to transform an ancient Roman church into a cultural place devolved to exposures, concert of classical music, plays… A long use of the building as a farm damaged it. To reveal it original style, façades has been cleaned and highlighted. Inside, the church miraculously preserved, has been upgraded to field the accessibility and safety norms and to enhance acoustic and global comfort. Artist’s locker rooms and ticket office are outside the existing buiding in an extensioncladded with gabions and corten steel and is part of the new landscape.
