Text description provided by the architects. The J/S Residence is located in the city of Crato, in the Cariri region of Ceará. It sits on a nearly square corner lot measuring 31m wide by 30m deep, with a steep 1.60m slope running from east to west. This site condition shaped the architectural concept, leading the design team to divide the building into three distinct sectors. The access and entry level—which houses the garage, service area, maid's quarters, kitchen, and dining room—is positioned at a mid-level relative to the rest of the house.
