A few key premises set the starting point for the design of Casa Brise: an open-riser staircase as a focal point, an imposing double-height ceiling, and a comfortable private area. The response came in the arrangement of large brise-soleils which, in addition to giving the residence its name, enhance the best views and optimize sunlight. Through the arrangement of these wooden panels, the family's daily life remains private even as the capital's skyline unfolds.
