Text description provided by the architects. Located on Lisbon's waterfront in the historic neighborhood of Belém, the new ZeroZero restaurant occupies a 1,400-square-meter modernist building of great historical and architectural value. Situated between two national monuments—the Monument to the Discoveries and the Museum of Popular Art—the building was originally constructed for the Portuguese World Exhibition of 1940 and remains an iconic example of Portuguese modernism. Surrounded by a large reflecting pool, it establishes a poetic dialogue with the Tagus River.
