Reusing elements allows historical and cultural contexts to resonate through the materiality and symbolism inherent in each piece, further elevating the project's overall concept.
To illustrate these points, we have selected five buildings that serve as benchmarks for material reuse in architecture. Across diverse scales and programs, these projects demonstrate how innovation driven by recycling can yield unique, transformative solutions. They respect their surroundings not only by engaging with architectural forms but also by integrating existing or salvaged materials, shaping a new design vision.
