Hello, ArchDaily readers.
Happy New Year as we enter a new decade. This year marks our 12th anniversary. Thank you for accompanying us throughout the 2010s and growing alongside us to contribute to the architectural community. At our founding, we pledged to “provide inspiration and knowledge to help architects build better cities.” In this new decade, we embrace an expanded mission: “to provide inspiration and tools to improve the quality of life for city dwellers.” Everyone is an independent creator, and we are here to serve each and every one of you.
Over the past year, across our Chinese website (www.archdaily.cn) and our WeChat official account (ADCNews), we published 711 completed projects (including 276 from China), 503 architectural news pieces, 230 project roundups, 110 in-depth articles, 43 architectural events and exhibitions, 130 articles on building materials, 45 award announcements, 46 software guides, 50 international competitions, and 40 architect interviews. In doing so, we have introduced 260 Chinese architectural projects to the global stage. Additionally, 300 offices worldwide have chosen us as their exclusive debut platform. We are also honored to serve as one of the official announcement platforms for the Pritzker Architecture Prize, and as a collaborative partner for major biennials, including Venice, Chicago, and Shenzhen.
On this first day of the new decade, we set our sights on our new mission. Our theme for this year: Meticulous Cultivation.
