Ed Mazria to Lecture at Cooper Union

Ed Mazria, founder of Mazria Inc. and Architecture 2030 as well as developer of the 2030 Challenge, will lecture at ’s Great Hall this coming Wednesday, April 20th from 6:30pm-8:oopm. His lecture, Architecture: on the Brink, explores how the built environment is the major driving force behind current global events tied to energy, climate change, and the economy and visually illustrates its transformation, which is currently underway. He will discuss the significance of this transformation and what is being done to accelerate it.

This event is free for AIA Members, Cooper Union students and faculty.  More details can be found here.

The Association for Computer Aided Design in Architecture 2010 Conference

ACADIA 2010 will focus on the changing nature of information and its impact on architectural education, research, and practice. The conference will gather leading practitioners, theorists, and researchers who will examine the relation that architecture has with technology and information, and how the latter propels today’s most innovative design experimentation and research. 2010 will be centered on a series of peer-reviewed paper sessions and a groundbreaking exhibition including peer-reviewed projects.

Conference will be held at The Cooper Union, City, from October 21 to 24. Details about the Conference and Call for Papers and Projects are now available at www.acadia.org/acadia2010.
