The fifth edition of Concéntrico, the international architecture and design festival in Logroño, Spain, will invite reflection on the urban environment and the city through architecture and design proposals in various formats.
The upcoming edition will take place from April 26 to May 1, 2019. In addition to this announcement, the festival has opened calls for three competitions for participation at three of the festival's sites.
Arquia/social, an initiative by Arquia Banca managed by the Arquia Foundation, is mindful of the economic impact of the crisis on families. Committed to fostering education and supporting architecture students and architects, the foundation has launched the Student Aid program. This second call for applications offers architecture students enrolled in public universities the opportunity to receive tuition assistance based on criteria of equality, merit, and aptitude. The program aims to provide the necessary means for students to begin or continue their architectural studies if they are currently facing financial difficulties in paying tuition or have special needs.
Each year, hundreds of architects graduate across Spain, producing projects and design statements that serve as a vivid reflection of their interests, research, and personal motivations. Unfortunately, once their studies conclude, these projects often remain buried in a computer folder or on a library shelf.
However, we know that many of these theses address fundamental issues in contemporary architectural practice, not only in Spain but globally. For this reason, we are launching the first edition of our PFC open call in Spain.
