USINA BAR is a public space for meeting, conversation, and enjoyment centered on design disciplines and urban culture, with the goal of facilitating and energizing interaction between diverse actors and fields of knowledge. It is a recurring event held in various locations in a bar format, with all that this entails.

Where is the teaching of Architecture and Urbanism heading in the contemporary era, in light of the global transformations driven by information and communication technologies?

The course brings together leading architectural photographers and their contributions across three historical periods: pioneers (1826–1900), modernists (1900–1950), and contemporaries (1950–present).

The second talk of the "Architecture and Resilience: Materiality from a New Reality" series, organized by COMA Education and LCD Academy and sponsored by Cintac, will take place on Thursday, August 6, at 6:30 PM.

In Conflict is the Portuguese Representation at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia, taking place in 2021. The Portuguese Representation is commissioned by the Directorate-General for the Arts, with a curatorial team led by the collective depA architects, who are also responsible for the exhibition design.

The School Competition is a tradition spanning over twenty years, serving as the primary activity that engages the entire student body around a specific theme, resulting in proposals approached through the lens of architecture.

Since May, the School of Architecture at Universidad Finis Terrae has been hosting the "Isolated Dialogues" conversation series, where professionals from various fields discuss art, music, design, architecture, and creative processes, among other topics, through the lens of confinement. Guests such as writer Rafael Gumucio, architect Cazú Zegers, and former Minister of Transport and Telecommunications Andrés Gómez-Lobo have participated in this experience.

This year, the 5th Aysén Architecture Week 2020 has chosen the theme "INHABITING MINIMAL SPACES IN AYSÉN: CONTRADICTIONS OF A RURBAN LANDSCAPE" to explore, viewing this topic as a provocation intended to spark a deeper discussion regarding the right of Aysén residents to a daily life that fosters health, fulfillment, and ensures their physical, psychological, and social development.

Aiming to continue the discussion and uncover opportunities for adaptation and resilience, this AOA session proposes an optimistic approach to the challenges facing the city and its inhabitants within both local and global contexts. It highlights existing opportunities for positive change following a crisis, thereby promoting more resilient cities in both the short and long term.

The Abierto Mexicano de Diseño is an international festival that gathers and celebrates the design community in Mexico every year, in all its breadth and diversity. It focuses on promoting, exhibiting, supporting, and disseminating Mexican design.

The Journal of Traditional Building, Architecture and Urbanism is aimed at individuals and institutions interested in traditional building, architecture, and urbanism. Published articles address the theory and practice of these disciplines. Its objective is to promote the creation of places and buildings that harmonize with local culture and tradition while respecting the environment and its natural resources. Furthermore, it seeks to foster a deeper understanding of traditional construction cultures worldwide, thereby encouraging greater respect for them and contributing to their preservation and continuity.

This discussion aims to share territorial perspectives that can shed light on the transformations needed to improve our habitat. We recognize that the acceleration of these social, economic, and environmental transformations has had, and continues to have, a significant impact on every region in Paraguay that has undergone intervention.

Héctor Esrawe is a leading figure in contemporary furniture and interior design in Latin America. From his studio, Esrawe, based in Mexico City, he develops everything from furniture and objects to interiors, architecture, public space installations, and museography.

Organized by Editores de Chile, the event opens this Thursday, August 27, at 7:00 PM, featuring a conversation between Francisca Jiménez and Paulo Slachevsky, as well as a performance by the national band Yorka.
