Porto Academy is the result of a deep passion for architecture as an academic discipline. Founded in 2013, Porto Academy aims to serve as a manifesto of pluralism and opportunity, grounded in close mentorship from a diverse group of architects, artists, and curators. It offers an alternative educational experience, free from pre-existing rules and dogmas, where students learn firsthand from the unique perspectives of practices led by invited architects, artists, and curators.
The 'No País dos Arquitectos' podcast will be featured at the 6th edition of Archi Summit. The exhibition offers an opportunity to learn more about the projects and architects featured across the podcast's three seasons.
The course presents an overview of traditional, modern, and contemporary Japanese architectural production across four independent yet complementary modules. Drawing on cultural and historical contexts, the course analyzes the work of prominent Japanese architects from the 1930s to the present day. It also explores symbolic spatial and temporal relationships grounded in aesthetic principles such as ma, basara, wabi-sabi, yûgen, and mono no aware, among others. The goal is to broaden the repertoire regarding Japanese architecture and culture, offering exposure to new perspectives through lecture-based sessions.
The submission process for issue No. 9 of TULHA magazine, published by the Tutorial Education Program (PET) for Architecture and Urbanism at PUC-Campinas, is now open. He does not clamor for the banal spectacle; he seeks essence,” defines Luiz Chrysostomo de Oliveira Filho, who curates the artist’s solo exhibition, “Construtos.” Featuring previously unseen works produced between 2021 and 2024, the exhibition will be on view at Galeria Patricia Costa starting July 25. As a painter and furniture designer, he reveals through his precise yet delicate lines a preference for geometric figures, dominating the space with lines that articulate colors with a peculiar lightness. Among the most recent works, the collage-drawings stand out—a medium never before explored by Chico Fortunato in his long artistic career.
