SHARE Budapest 2018 will gather exceptional speakers from 12 countries: Hungary, Romania, United Kingdom, Slovakia, France, Albania, Thailand, Sweden, Bulgaria, Malaysia, Denmark and Italy. Some of the lecturers and their focus for the event:
FIGMENT has teamed with the Emerging New York Architects Committee (ENYA) of the American Institute of Architects NY Chapter (AIANY) and the Structural Engineers Association of New York (SEAoNY) to host a competition to design and construct an architectural pavilion in Lighthouse Park on Roosevelt Island, the City of Dreams Pavilion. The 2019 pavilion will be our ninth City of Dreams Pavilion, and our first on Roosevelt Island.
Registration is free up until October 22, 2018 at 23:30 HST. After this date and time registration is $20.
ARCHSharing, in collaboration with TECHO Paraguay, proposes the «Emergency Housing in Paraguay» contest. A contest that propose to response to the lack of access to housing in Paraguay, the aim is to offer residents a building that responds to the emergency situation while guaranteeing their dignity and their right to a suitable home. The laureate will have the opportunity to build his/her project with the humanitarian association TECHO Paraguay.
Ice Breakers is an annual art and design competition open to international submissions for art installations to be exhibited along Toronto's Queens Quay neighbourhood. Up to four submissions relating to this year's theme of "Signal Transmission" will be selected.

The awards celebrate how exceptional working relationships between architects and suppliers and manufacturers lead to successful projects, showcasing standout examples of the creative use of products and materials in making great buildings.
Be it to find solutions to particular design challenge, or simply to bring joy to a project, the intelligent integration of products into the design process – from the taps in a bathroom to the finishes on a façade – is an aspect of architecture that the AJ has long championed.
Days of Oris is an international architecture convention organised by Oris magazine and the Oris House of Architecture. The two-day event has been held since 2001. It presents the most significant names of the architectural and cultural scene and gathers more than 2000 visitors every year.
Yo Shimada founded Tato Architects in 1997 upon graduating from Kyoto City University of Art, where he completed a number of designs and built architecture projects at the school.
The Tbilisi Architecture Biennial was established in 2017 by Tinatin Gurgenidze, Natia Kalandarishvili, Otar Nemsadze and Gigi Shukakidze. TAB aims to bring together professionals from diverse disciplines united under one topic on a biannual basis.

LA+ invites submissions from architects, landscape architects, planners, artists, and designers from anywhere in the world. This is an ideas competition - no professional qualifications are required to enter.
The European Cultural Centre for the Exhibition “Time-Space-Existence” in context of the 16th Venice Architecture Biennale is organizing its first conference under the title of: “ Shaping the City : A Forum for Sustainable Cities and Communities”. It includes all participating architectural schools and universities from across the globe in TSE 2018 along with other international institutions and architecture studios.
Architecture and Landscape in Norway, a photography exhibition by Ken Schluchtmann, will open this fall in the Felleshus of the Nordic Embassies in Berlin. Featuring architecture, landscapes and roads in northern light, the exhibition situates Ken Schluchtmann in a long tradition of landscape representation in Norway. Opening on October 5, 2018, the show is part of the "European Month of Photography." The exhibition will displays images taken along the National Tourist Routes in Norway.

To what extent are cultural buildings public spaces? What function do museums and galleries have beyond exhibiting art? The third edition of the Frieze Art & Architecture Conference looks at recent projects from architects around the world to consider how the form and function of cultural institutions are evolving, and presents long-term works by artists who are reassessing how and where we live.
Since its foundation in 1919 in Weimar, “Bauhaus” is not just the name of Walter Gropius' legendary school of building – it also stands for unprecedented ideas as well as for having the courage to create the future while considering present global and social issues.
The initial purpose was to create a school of building which would achieve a total work of art through its interdisciplinary ways.
