n'UNDO proposes approaching architecture and urbanism from a different perspective, understanding that it is possible to build more and better through reduction, restraint, and reasoned declination. The theoretical framework developed aims to improve the urban and environmental landscape through a shift in professional and personal perspective, creating meeting places for those who feel engaged, while stimulating reflection, criticism, debate, and collective action.

Santiago, January 5, 2018 – Chilean architect M. Pilar Pinchart presents an exhibition at Galería Pan Am showcasing the inquiries that have shaped her work over the last 10 years, synthesized into a conceptual installation on high-rise housing. The exhibition opens on January 11 and will remain on view for three weeks.

The Alberto Cruz C. Foundation, in collaboration with the Amereida Cultural Corporation, will host a seminar focused on the architectural work of Cruz between 1954 and 1982, which transcends and complements his contribution to the academic and creative spheres.

Amidst the shifting sands of Lima's reality, one of the most solid foundations is the huacas. And this is their year, as they will represent the Peruvian pavilion at the Venice Biennale. For this reason, to elevate and share them with more people, this edition of the 6th Photography Competition by Lima Milenaria focuses exclusively on photographs of these ancient ceremonial centers... huacas everywhere. The winning photographs will have the opportunity to be displayed at the Biennale, among other important prizes.

You don't have to go far to capture a huaca in time; just go for a walk (or dig through your archives). We are surrounded by them, or we live while surrounding them, even if we forget. This is an act to remember, commemorate, and better understand them. What is the relationship between Lima's citizens and the huacas in the city? See them with new eyes—don't just pass by; stop and admire them. So much history, wisdom, mystery, poetry, and reflection... The "Chillán: Modern Landscape / Territories in Transformation" Forum seeks to connect and integrate artists, thinkers, and professionals from various disciplines with local communities in an open dialogue regarding the modern landscape of the city of Chillán and the contemporary processes and dynamics of territorial transformation in the Ñuble province.

Through various sensory media and artistic expressions, the event aims to activate the emergence and recognition of memories, identities, and the cultural and heritage values of the urban and rural landscape by the communities that inhabit it.

From January 24 to 26, various locations throughout Chillán will host the public forum on art, architecture, and the city: "Chillán: Modern Landscape/ Territories in Transformation." The event includes lectures, free workshops, and a grand closing celebration featuring folk singers and other cultural expressions.

The event aims to bring together the community, artists, architects, and international intellectuals in a gathering focused on revaluing the human, artistic, and territorial heritage of the recently established 16th Ñuble Region.

Thanks to a crowdfunding campaign on the Partio platform, the Janelas de SP project has been published as a book.

The launch event will take place on January 23 at V E R N I Z - S P, during the week of the city’s 464th anniversary.

United Visual Artists have created the first exhibition in the new contemporary space of Casa Batlló. The work of UVA, a multidisciplinary London-based studio founded by Matt Clark in 2003, encompasses moving images, audiovisual environments, installations, printed works, and kinetic sculptures.

"Projecting Future Heritage: A Hong Kong Archive," one of the Roving Architecture Exhibitions organized by The Hong Kong Institute of Architects Biennale Foundation under the sponsorship of the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, held its ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, 31 January, at the Former Residence of Prince Sawasdiprawat (Sommot Amornbhand) in Bangkok. Unveiled at the Hong Kong Pavilion at the Biennale Architettura 2025 in Venice, where it garnered widespread international attention, this Roving Exhibition series brings Hong Kong's archive of civic architectures to Bangkok. Responding to the theme of the Biennale Architettura 2025, 'Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective', the exhibition's curators Fai Au, Ying Zhou, and Sunnie S.Y. Lau highlight the collective 'intelligens' of Hong Kong's public infrastructures that represents the Hong Kong's shifting paradigms.

Architecture Competition 
"The Cabin Festival," between Architecture and Landscape, 11th Edition -
Open to Architects and Architecture Students

This exhibition is part of the Advanced Architectural Design and Development studio by graduate students of the Master of Architecture in Architectural Design (International Program), Department of Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University, collaborated with Bangkok Design Week. The design brief began with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA)’s projects in 2024—such as the redesign of the city’s identity system and the launch of a new landmark billboard in the city center—which are part of a broader effort to “rebrand” the city.

There’s a housing crisis. Construction projects are facing delays. There’s concern about the declining role of the architect. Despite this, remarkable architecture is still being created.

As part of the international contemporary art exhibition Segrete. Tracce di Memoria, the interior spaces of Eugenio Fuselli’s architecture host an intervention by Matteo Pulvirenti.

LA’s Housing Manifesto + Poster Showdown, an open competition and public exhibition inviting designers, architects, artists, writers, students, and creative thinkers to translate bold housing ideas into a visually striking poster, a punchy slogan, and a short manifesto capable of inspiring a broad public.

This year’s lecture series CRAFT&CARE at IE School of Architecture and Design, curated by Grazielle Bruscato, invites students to reflect on how making, maintaining and repairing—across architecture, fashion and design—can be a transformative practice of attention, commitment and responsibility. The series highlights the resurgence of craft as both contemporary practices and cultural heritage, celebrating voices from across the globe, embracing diverse material traditions and design processes, and affirming care as a transversal force that fosters well-being, social cohesion and ecological sustainability.

Otto Wagner (1841–1918) is one of the internationally most influential figures of early modern architecture. Many of his buildings – for instance, the Vienna City Railway, the Postal Savings Bank and the Church at Steinhof – are now considered key works of twentieth-century architecture because they shed their historical stylistic trappings and speak instead a language appropriate to “modern life”, based on purpose, materials, and construction.
