The AA Visiting School Mexico is a summer workshop based in Oaxaca, Mexico. The Visiting School offers the opportunity to experience the Architectural Association's experimental culture firsthand in the heart of Oaxaca city. It is open to current architecture and design students, PhD candidates, and young professionals in related disciplines: architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, planning, geography, civil engineering, etc.

"Young Vision of Architecture" presents three talented, award-winning, and innovative young Mexicans based in Nuevo León in a TED-style format. Two architects: Marcela González Veloz, founder of OFICIO Taller de Arquitectura, and Vicente "Chente" Tapia, director of the alternative community design studio W.E.Y.E.S. And one civil engineer, Kenji López Rivera, leader of the firm Greendfield. They will share their passion for architecture and their experiences through clear, dynamic, concise, and even entertaining talks.

The Ibero-American Congress on Technology and Innovation brings together more than 30 national and international leaders from the construction industry. In 1960, Jane Jacobs' book The Death and Life of Great American Cities was a landmark for architecture, investigating the consequences of urban reconfiguration by modern urban planners and architects. Jacobs was also an activist involved in many mid-century movements in New York to halt the draconian plans of Robert Moses, a powerful builder with significant political influence.

The Chapter’s Urbanism Commission will address the most prominent urban planning issues in the Monterrey metropolitan area and the state of Nuevo León. The session will feature architects Alexandre Lenoir, Oscar Martínez, Maricarmen Elosua, Ricardo Padilla, Fernando López, and Oscar Bulnes, as well as engineer Gabriel Todd.

Vivian Abenshushan (Mexico City, 1972) is a writer, editor, and independent cultural agent.
In recent years, her practice—both individual and collective—has focused on exploring aesthetic and discursive strategies that confront the processes of contemporary capitalism and its structures of cultural production, as well as the relationships between art and political action, community processes, interdisciplinary intersections, and experimental writing practices.
