The architectural output from Peruvian universities is vast and valuable; therefore, we believe it is necessary to launch an open call to showcase the best final degree projects produced by these institutions.

Academic proposals can be true intellectual and critical works. The goal of this open call is to ensure they do not remain hidden, gathering dust on shelves, and losing the opportunity to generate real change in our cities and in how we inhabit and think about our spaces.

The Landscape Institute of the Catholic University of Córdoba (Argentina), in collaboration with the Latin American Landscape Initiative (LALI) —within the framework of World Landscape Architecture Month (IFLA 2006 declaration)— invites professionals and enthusiasts of visual arts, illustration, or design in all fields to participate in the art competition "The Landscape Through My Window."

Today an estimated 900 million people are confined to their homes in 35 countries worldwide. With the world reverting to home working a global-scale experiment is in full swing, one which instantly asks us to reconsider not only the space of the office, but rather the home and its role within our contemporary society and us, its citizens. For the last few decades architecture has continuously challenged the space of the office allowing for alternative models to emerge. In the last decade alone we have witnessed the rise and advent of co-working and of the campus. In 2019 an estimated 2,188 spaces were opened worldwide with projections set for more than 20,000 in 2020 and 25,968 by 2022, rather than catering only to small business, large corporations like Amazon, AirBnB, and Google also make use of these for meetings and events. On the other hand structures such as googleplex and apple park exist as buildings with a footprint of 260,000 square meter which house more than 12,000 employees.

The Latin American Architecture Biennials Network (REDBAAL), in coordination with the 27th UIA World Congress of Architects (UIA2020RIO), had planned to hold the exhibition and awards ceremony for the Third Edition of the "Oscar Niemeyer" Award for Latin American Architecture (ON-03 Award) this July in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The fifth, special edition of the issue will be dedicated to the upcoming SESAM 2020 workshop, which will take place between May and June in Slavutych, Ukraine. We wanted to contribute to their great work and as their theme is POLIKLINIKA - bring some discussion around the topic of careness. From March 12 to 21, 2020, architects from across the country may register for the national public competition, which will select two preliminary architectural, urban, and landscape design proposals for the Parque da Cidade in Belém. The competition is an initiative of the Government of the State of Pará, through the State Secretariat of Culture (Secult), and is organized by the Foundation for Research Support and Development (Fadesp).

As an important part for Shenzhen to construct the international aviation hub and national railway hub, it will integrate various modes of transport, such as aviation, high-speed railway, intercity railway, urban rail transit, bus, taxis and car, etc., and take the air-rail intermodal transportation as the main development direction. Its planning and construction is of great significance to explore the mode of station-city integration and promote high-quality coordinated development among railway, aviation and the city. MEDS Workshop
“Meetings of Design Students” is an international workshop organized each summer in a different country. Every year it gathers around 200 participants associated with various fields of art, design, and architecture. In a span of two weeks, guided by experienced tutors, the participants create and construct group projects, getting in touch with different approaches to design and mastering their skills in a wide range of building techniques. Each project combines practical, educational and cultural aspects, creating a meaningful impact on the space and tackling both current issues, and long-standing local traditions.
Previous workshops have taken place in Turkey, Slovenia, Portugal, Ireland, Serbia, Romania, Belgium, Lebanon and Greece.

Between the Leaves is seeking submissions for visioning on the future of housing in a more equitable world.

POLDRA - Public Sculpture Project Viseu envisions to develop contemporary public art/art in public space proposals – with a significant focus on sculpture – created for selected spaces (site-specific) reinventing and reinterpreting them; while encouraging interactions between the visitors and the sites themselves. Through this dynamic, the work of art will be the kick-starter of a relation that it is hoped can exist beyond the act of looking.
I've been doing so for the past two years by exhibiting the works of Neeraj Bhatia (Canada), Pedro Pires (Angola), Elisa Balmaceda (Chile), Natalia Bezerra & Kaitlin Ferguson (UK), Steven Barich (USA), Cristina Ataíde, Miguel Palma and Liliana Velho (Portugal). Through this dynamic, the work of art will be the kick-starter of a relationship that we hope can exist beyond the act of looking.

250 young people from Europe and beyond will come to Slavutych, Northern Ukraine, for 11 days (27.05 - 07.06 ). During the event, participants will inhabit an abandoned hospital in the city center.
