The firm EArquitetos has developed a design proposal for a bridge over the Vrbas River in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project received an honorable mention in the international competition. See the proposal below, accompanied by the project description.

The Academia Paulista de Letras has elected architect Ruy Ohtake as its newest member, who will occupy seat number 39. The seat was previously held by fellow architect Benedito Lima de Toledo, who passed away in July of this year.

After winning the 12th Competition for Architecture Students of the Brazilian Steel Construction Center (CBCA), students Bruna Barbosa and Lino Mendonça, from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), took first place in the 12th Alacero Competition for Architecture Students, organized by the Latin American Steel Association (Alacero).

The Federal District government announced mid-last month plans to build the Bible Museum based on Oscar Niemeyer's 1987 sketches. Espaço Interior is part of a research project concerning the construction of architectural imagination. It is also the title of one of the five main exhibitions at this year's Lisbon Architecture Triennale, curated by Mariabruna Fabrizi and Fosco Lucarelli. The exhibition aims to investigate the space between interior and exterior realities, seeking out those moments where these two realms interact most vividly.

The 12th International Architecture Biennial of São Paulo, on view at the Centro Cultural São Paulo through December 8, features the "Black São Paulo Walking Tour" in its program. The tour seeks to recover Black histories embedded throughout the city—in the center and adjacent neighborhoods—along a 3.5-kilometer route that begins at Praça da Liberdade 238 (near the Liberdade Metro station) and concludes approximately three hours later at Praça da República.

The São Paulo Court of Justice today cleared the concession of Ibirapuera Park, the largest in the state capital, to the private sector. According to reports by Folha de S. Paulo, the process had been suspended since March of this year, after being challenged by the Public Prosecutor's Office and Green Party council member Gilberto Natalini.
