The 2026 UIA World Congress of Architects (UIA2026BCN) has launched the International Emerging Workshop, a specially designed program that invites students and young professionals to engage in experimental studios led by twelve emerging architecture firms. Scheduled for June 19–27, 2025—one week prior to the congress—the program serves as a prelude, offering dynamic workshops, public lectures, inspiring dialogues with mentors, and city tours. 180 participants from around the world will collaborate across twelve workshops, fostering cross-cultural and interdisciplinary exchange. Each workshop will explore a specific research direction centered on the congress theme, "Becoming. Architectures for a Planet in Transition." Outcomes will be showcased in a dedicated exhibition during the congress.

"Dentro da Pós" offers a free opportunity to engage in conversation, ask questions, and learn more about each of the seven lato sensu postgraduate programs offered by Escola da Cidade, with direct access to the respective faculty and coordinators.

The third Lima International Architecture Biennial will take place in November. This significant event seeks to recognize and reward the best practices in architecture and urbanism in the capital. It will feature the participation of the cities of Singapore and Shenzhen.

FAUUSP will host the book launch of Königsberger Vannucchi [et al.] in a session that brings together architecture and debate. The event will take place during an undergraduate class and proposes a conversation on the role of contemporary architecture in shaping the urbanity and landscape of the city of São Paulo.

The 1st Seminar on Contemporary Architectures in Brazil [arq.con.br] will take place in Fortaleza, Ceará, at SEBRAE Ceará, from April 1 to 4, 2025, under the main theme HYBRID FRONTIERS. The event is organized by the Laboratory of Criticism in Architecture, Urbanism, and Urbanization [LoCAU], affiliated with the Graduate Program in Architecture, Urbanism, and Design [PPGAU+D] at the Institute of Architecture, Urbanism, and Design [IAUD] of the Federal University of Ceará [UFC], and is coordinated by professors Ricardo Paiva and Bruno Braga from the UFC Architecture and Urbanism program.

Using fog as a metaphor, this lecture explores the increasingly immaterial and diffuse nature of our world—manifest in the translucent facades of our cities, immersive artworks, the digital clouds storing our data, the smoke from wildfires, invisible surveillance mechanisms, and the opaque operations of financial capital. The event also marks the launch of a curated course track by Guilherme Wisnik, featuring four programs focused on architecture and art. Attendees will receive a 30% discount on registration for courses within this thematic track.
