The book Parques urbanos de São Paulo (Urban Parks of São Paulo) features photographic essays documenting the daily life of thirteen parks in São Paulo, as diverse as the city and its population: parks in the center and the periphery, new and old, famous and locally known. In Praise of Shadow is the title of the famous book by Japanese author Junichiro Tanizaki, first published in 1933. In it, Tanizaki critiques the West's excess of light and the exhibitionism of forms and colors. It is also the title of a collection of poetry by Jorge Luis Borges, in which he reflects on the awareness of his own shadow and the shadow of his work, where he finds his reflection. As he writes in the poem:

For the fourteenth edition of the "Con Lo Que Hay" (With What We Have) Workshop (PUCE-FADA), we invite you to learn by doing as we construct the San Francisco de Miravalle Bajo de Guápulo Community Center. Learn about three different construction systems through three "on-site" workshops and contribute to the completion of the project; all proceeds will benefit the community.

The objective of this workshop is to reflect on our roles as professionals, educators, and students of Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urbanism, and Design. Participants will explore the application of forces and the assembly of structures—ranging from the scale of the human body to large-scale projects—while establishing a fundamental link between the construction process and structural analysis (spatial and organic).

Growing Home: Archive of Master Architects’ Own Houses (1930s-1960s)
The early modern architecture is diverse, some of which are still maintaining their vitality until now. This exhibition focus on architects' own houses, most of which are works during the modern movement. In this case, the architect is both the designer and the client, and the house is where they work and live. Daily life within the house is a manifesto of both the architecture and a distinct way of living. The house is both a warm harbor meanwhile a business card for the architect. Undoubtedly, the houses present the architects' respective visions, which grow with times and allow us to examine the richness of modern architecture.

This course aims to teach the fundamentals of Green Infrastructure, a landscape planning and design method capable of linking nature conservation with urban development. It does so by creating a network of multifunctional landscapes that provide space for human activities without compromising natural processes.
