On Saturday, June 2, at 4:00 PM, the Casa da Arquitectura – Centro Português de Arquitectura will host the presentation of a piece of furniture designed by architect Bartolomeu Costa Cabral for Projecto Martins. The piece will be sold exclusively at the Casa da Arquitectura store in Matosinhos for one year.
Consolidated as one of the most significant events hosted by the Escola da Cidade – Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism, the International Seminar reaches its 13th edition with the theme "Architecture is a way of knowing." Each year, for one week, prestigious national and international guests from the field of architecture and urbanism participate in debates, workshops, and activities involving students, faculty, and the public interested in exploring contemporary issues in the field. This year's event takes place from February 24 to March 2 at the Escola da Cidade campus and various SESC SP units. The opening session, which is open to the public, will feature a conversation with architects Paulo Mendes da Rocha, Solano Benítez (Paraguay), and Cristiane Muniz (São Paulo).

The headquarters building of the Armando Alvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP) is the subject of the latest exhibition at MAB-FAAP. The show highlights the work of the French architect Auguste Perret, one of the most significant figures in architecture during the first half of the 20th century.
The Scientific Initiation Congress in Architecture and Urbanism (CICAU) is designed as a forum for reflection and exchange for students, faculty, and graduates in architecture, urbanism, and related fields. On Friday, June 15, the book launch for the Editorial USM publication written by Sandro Maino, a professor in the Department of Architecture at the Federico Santa María Technical University, will take place. The book is the result of twelve years of research, cross-referencing consultations in the Borchers archive with the study and reading of his sources, complemented by travels and visits to the works he analyzed, with the primary goal of reconstructing his trajectory.
Titled 'Leisure' and held as part of the Architectural Culture Lecture Series [CCCA] at EA USS, architects Juan Ignacio Cerda [ELEMENTAL] and Sebastián Cuevas will discuss program and leisure in architecture, including their spaces, users, specific characteristics, and their relationship with the city. On this occasion, the architects will present the Bicentennial Children's Park and the initiative for the creation of pocket plazas, respectively. Additionally, the panel will be moderated by Mario Marchant, a professor at USS/UCh and director of Materia Arquitectura magazine.
Under the title "Habitación" and as part of the Architectural Culture Lecture Series [CCCA] at the EA USS, architects Cristián Izquierdo and Emilio Marín will discuss program and residential architecture, considering contemporary commissions and ways of living. On this occasion, the guests will present the Morrillos House and the LF35 residential building, respectively. The panel will be moderated by Ernesto Silva, a USS faculty member and director of the EA Santiago campus.
