The main objective of the Emerging Latin American Practices Vol III lecture series is to foster conversations and debates with various emerging architecture collectives across Latin America. The series serves as a starting point for analyzing complex architectural projects that reflect design processes, project strategies, social impact, and theoretical reflections related to architectural practice and its intersections with academia, aiming to articulate an overview of the discipline's work in the region.
The Architecture Symposium is an event organized by 9th-semester students from the Tecnológico Superior de Jalisco. It is held for both students and alumni, not only from the institute but from the entire architecture community in Puerto Vallarta. Each year, we have the opportunity to host and engage with prominent figures in architecture from Mexico and around the world. Through a series of lectures, competitions, and workshops, young professionals can deepen their passion for the field, find inspiration, and envision what is possible to achieve within it.

Design Degustação will take place at the Istituto Europeo di Design on August 26, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, featuring lectures, workshops, seminars, discussions, content, and networking. Throughout the event, the space will showcase work by students, alumni, and partner brands. This experience offers a full day of immersion, allowing participants to engage in workshops and interact with the institution's faculty.
World Crafts Council Europe (WCCE) in collaboration with Making Design Circular (MDC), has launch a new mass open online course (MOOC) on circularity and sustainability: Circular by WCEE x MDC with Katie Treggiden. The course is geared towards makers, craftspeople, innovators, designers, creatives and stakeholders, both within the cultural and creative industries and beyond.
Intangible industrial heritage will always be present in discussions, as the Forum's proposal is also to safeguard the techniques, designs, products, professionals, and works that form the framework of the modern industrial heritage collection.
We are continuing the discussions regarding two relatively recent heritage typologies that require greater attention in contemporary times: modern and industrial heritage. The goal is to foster dialogue between modernity and the industrial production that utilized new materials, construction systems, and architectural works that defined this era. These works must be constantly remembered, as they unfortunately suffer from ongoing alterations or even demolition due to a lack of recognition as heritage assets by much of society.
The Latin American Meeting of Architecture Students (ELEA) has served, across thirty-three in-person and one virtual edition, as an annual space to bring together hundreds of architecture students and young professionals from across Latin America. It provides a platform for different generations to exchange experiences and knowledge, and to build networks through exhibition, dialogue, and action within the field of architecture—and even in areas not commonly recognized as part of the discipline.
São Paulo, 2023 – Registration is now open for the course "Urban Mobility Management – A Path to Smart and Sustainable Cities," offered by the Arq.Futuro Cities Laboratory at Insper, which will take place throughout August and early September. The eight sessions aim to deepen knowledge of urban mobility dynamics, a central theme in policy discussions aimed at ensuring a better quality of life for inhabitants. Commuting alternatives shape the urban experience for everyone—enabling, hindering, or even inhibiting access to and the right to the city.
