Pasarelas San Borja is an international architecture and landscape ideas competition. The competition is open and international. Multidisciplinary professional teams (Chilean or international) may be formed, consisting of architects, landscape architects, civil engineers, and other professionals or specialists relevant to the proposed project. Building on the success of the 2017 inaugural “inHAUS LAB – Design Your Modular House” competition, Casas inHAUS is launching a second edition. We want to acknowledge the overwhelming response to the previous edition by increasing the prize money. The “inHAUS LAB – Design Your Modular House” competition is a Casas inHAUS initiative created to foster creativity and innovation in architecture. Chile's Ministry of Housing and Urbanism has launched an ideas competition to design the "Paseo del Mar," a new public space at the Barón Pier, located directly on the coastline of the city of Valparaíso.

"The Barón Pier has shaped the history of Valparaíso and Chile. This site served as the engine of the country's railway industry throughout much of the 19th and 20th centuries. However, these grounds no longer possess their former vitality and have been abandoned over time. In the 21st century, the residents of Valparaíso want this area to reclaim its place in the history of the port and in their daily lives, but transformed into a major public space," the ministry explains in the competition guidelines.

Bloco is an annual publication from the Architecture and Urbanism program at Feevale University. It is distributed free of charge and is also available in a digital edition.
For 2018, Bloco (14) aims to explore the diverse ways in which architects and urban planners practice.
With this theme in mind, we invite everyone to participate in the selection process for publication in Bloco. Initially, we are accepting only abstracts for the selection of articles to be published this year.

The goal of this competition is to award the design of a construction element, piece of furniture, sculpture, roof, slab, wall, assembly, prototype, or module to be built using tile vaults. Registration is now open for the fourth edition of the VEKA Latin America Cultural Competition. This initiative from the German multinational PVC profile systems company introduces new features this year: projects will be evaluated in two categories—Horizontal Architecture and Vertical Architecture—and must have been executed in any country in Latin America.

The "Às Margens" competition, organized by Minimum, is open to architecture and urban planning students and recent graduates*. The competition aims to generate new, modern proposals for the revitalization of the Dilúvio Stream in Porto Alegre. The organizers are seeking proposals and ideas that provide the Dilúvio with a design commensurate with its potential, transforming it into a landmark for Porto Alegre rather than its current state: a heavily polluted and underutilized stream.
