Moeding is a German manufacturer specializing in brick tiles for facades with a large variety of shapes, colors, and textures, with signature models that simplify their production and installation processes. Moeding Baguette Bricks - Tubular Ceramic Elements for Facade Cladding were used for the facade of the new Centre for Digitalisation and Digitality.
The building, designed by RKW+ Architektur, is part of the University of Applied Sciences in Düsseldorf. The project features special themed laboratories and future-proof room concepts. The architects opted for a futuristic style, provided by a back-ventilated ceramic facade. To achieve this effect, the design uses Moeding's glazed ceramic baguettes in five shades of yellow, installed horizontally throughout the building's envelope.
