Bamboo Decking Solutions in the Higher Roch Tower | MOSO® Bamboo

MOSO^® Bamboo supplies a range of sustainable bamboo products for both interior and exterior architecture. MOSO^® Bamboo supplied its MOSO® Bamboo N-durance^® decking for the Higher Roch Tower in Montpellier, France, designed by Brenac & Gonzalez et Associés. The project is part of the wider regeneration of the “Nouveau Saint Roch” district and combines apartments, retail, and office spaces within a 5m high tower that establishes a new architectural landmark for the area.

The design takes inspiration from Mediterranean forms, with curved façades that reference the movement of a flamenco dancer’s dress. Each apartment extends onto an individual terrace, reinforcing the relationship between interior and exterior.

MOSO^® Bamboo N-durance^® decking was selected for these outdoor spaces for its material stability, uniform appearance, and sustainable origin. In total, approximately 4,000 m² of decking were installed across the tower’s balconies and shared terraces.

The use of bamboo supports the project’s environmental objectives, offering a long-lasting and renewable material suited to the local climate. The product’s dimensional stability and slip resistance ensure reliable performance in elevated, high-exposure conditions.
