Holcim has set a target of recycling over 20 million tons of construction demolition materials (CDM) by 2030. In key metropolitan areas worldwide, Holcim is working with cities to accelerate circular construction and upcycle CDM into new building solutions using their ECOCycle proprietary circular technology.
Products with ECOCycle inside - cement, concrete or aggregates - contain from 10% to 100% recycled construction demolition materials.

Using its ECOCycle proprietary circular technology, Holcim developed one of UK's first concretes with 20% recycled aggregates* inside. Aggregates were taken from nearby North Quay – a decommissioned marine deck in Canary Wharf – then recycled for use in special concrete mixes. |
